Operation Backpack 2025
Dodi Papase DA/ARS Basic School
The Shidaa Foundation donated essential educational materials to Dodi Papase D/A R.C. Basic School in Ghana’s Oti Region. The initiative provided students with school supplies to support their learning and inspire academic growth. By strengthening access to quality education in rural Ghana, the foundation continues its mission to empower underprivileged children and create opportunities for brighter futures.

During Operation Backpack 2025, The Shidaa Foundation team visited Atakofee School in Asawasi, Ghana, to donate backpacks filled with essential school supplies to the children in this rural community. The team spent time with students, teachers, and families, learning about village life and the challenges of accessing quality education, especially in the early hours as families prepare for farm work. Thanks to the generosity of our donors and volunteers in Canada and Ghana, every child we met at Atakofee School left with a backpack, renewed excitement for learning, and a reminder that their dreams matters.
Operation Backpack 2025
Aso, Rural Cocoa Community
During our second school visit in rural Ghana, our Operation Backpack 2025 team stayed in a small cocoa-farming community with no electricity and only a recently installed borehole for clean water. Volunteers donated backpacks filled with school supplies, spent time speaking with students who walk long distances through farms to reach school, and documented their daily reality so supporters can better understand the challenges and resilience of these children.

Furniture For Class
Every child deserves a comfortable place to learn and grow. Right now, many kids don’t have desks or chairs to study on—they sit on the floor or on broken furniture. We want to change that by providing desks and chairs that will give them a proper learning environment. Your support can make this possible and help these children succeed.

We want to build a proper library for children in this community so they can have a safe place to read, learn, and grow. Right now, they have only a few scattered books and no real space to study.
