Supporting Jamaica After Hurricane Melissa
The Shidaa Foundation remains committed to supporting children’s education and community development through impactful partnerships and donations. In collaboration with Citizens for the Advancement of Community Development (CACD), we recently donated over 20 backpacks filled with school supplies and more than 600 books to help children recover their access to learning after Hurricane Melissa. This effort reflects our dedication to empowering students, promoting literacy, and ensuring that vulnerable communities have the resources they need to rebuild and thrive.
Mission
The CACD Canada team are sending these donations to Jamaican children in hardest-hit schools after Hurricane Melissa. These kids lost their homes, school supplies, and class time, now they can resume learning.

ADI Global Distribution - Toronto
As part of Operation Backpack 2025, The Shidaa Foundation donated backpacks to ADI Global Distribution, Toronto in support of their Back-to-School Drive. This donation helps ensure students have access to essential school supplies as they prepare for the academic year. Providing backpacks supports learning readiness and reduces some of the challenges faced by families in need. Contributions like this reflect the Shidaa Foundation’s commitment to supporting education through direct, meaningful donations that create positive impact in the community.

The Shidaa Foundation proudly donated over 500+ backpacks filled with school supplies to children across Canada through Operation Backpack 2025. Each backpack included stationery from BIC and educational books from the Canadian Children’s Book Centre, helping students start the school year prepared and motivated.
This initiative aims to support education, empower students, and ease the financial burden on families in need. By providing essential tools for learning, the Shidaa Foundation continues its mission to promote equal access to education and build brighter futures for Canadian children.
