Dodi Akum Basic School
During our second school visit in rural Ghana, our Operation Backpack 2025 team stayed in a small cocoa-farming community with no electricity and only a recently installed borehole for clean water. Volunteers donated backpacks filled with school supplies, spent time speaking with students who walk long distances through farms to reach school, and documented their daily reality so supporters can better understand the challenges and resilience of these children.

Community in Action
Our volunteers aren’t just visitors; they are part of the daily life in these communities. From sunrise till sunset, they work alongside co-founder to ensure every child has what they need to succeed.
- Sorting and organizing school materials for each community
- Packing backpacks with grade-appropriate supplies tailored to students’ needs
- Donating the filled backpacks directly to students to empower their education.

Our long term goals
Furniture For Class
Every child deserves a comfortable place to learn and grow. Right now, many kids don’t have desks or chairs to study on—they sit on the floor or on broken furniture. We want to change that by providing desks and chairs that will give them a proper learning environment. Your support can make this possible and help these children succeed.
Library for Children
We want to build a proper library for children, providing a safe and supportive place where they can read, learn, and grow. At the moment, access to books and dedicated study spaces is limited. With your support, we can create a library that opens doors to better education, inspires a love for reading, and helps shape a brighter future for children.
Give Money.
Will you change a child’s life today?
Your donation can provide something as simple—but powerful as a desk and chair for a child who needs it. Right now, many students are learning on the floor or in unsafe conditions. With your help, we can give them a proper place to study, focus, and dream big. Every contribution brings comfort, dignity, and hope to a child’s education.
Give Time.
Together, we can build a brighter future for the children in our community. By volunteering your time, you’re not just helping with tasks—you’re becoming part of something meaningful. Whether it’s helping set up learning spaces, supporting local events, mentoring children, or assisting with donation drives, your time and care can create real, lasting impact.
