At Shidaa Foundation, we believe every child—regardless of background—should have the tools they need to learn, grow, and succeed. Our Canadian programs identify under-resourced communities and provide essential school supplies, backpacks, and learning materials to help students reach their full potential. By removing barriers to education, we’re helping children build brighter futures one classroom at a time.

Across Ghana, many children—especially in rural and low-income communities—still struggle to access the quality education they deserve. At Shidaa Foundation, we believe every child should have the opportunity to learn, dream, and thrive, no matter where they are born. Our Ghana programs work closely with schools and community leaders to identify under-resourced areas and provide essential school supplies, learning materials, and support that help students stay in school and succeed. By removing financial and material barriers to education, we are helping children in Ghana build brighter futures one classroom at a time.​

In the Ga language of Ghana, “Shidaa” translates to “Thanksgiving”. It is more than just our name; it is our daily operating philosophy.
We believe that every act of giving is an expression of gratitude for the opportunities we've been given. We carry this spirit of "Shidaa" into every school and community we serve.
