A Desk for School

There are 506 students with only 232 seating spaces at our partner schools in rural Ghana. Students sit compactly in order to fit in the desks. This reduces the space for mobility, compromises writing space, increases distraction, and reduces self-hygiene by increasing chances for cross-contamination.

We are raising funds that will be invested in crafting the wood desks locally in Ghana. This project would generate local employment for the carpenter and the wood sellers. The making of the required furniture will take place in close proximity to the schools to reduce the transportation cost.

Support us in developing the learning space that will provide comfortable and well-equipped classrooms.
